Safe robbery in Lawrence
Police arrested a man they say managed to cart away a safe from the Portuguese Social Club on Friday night, while the club was still open. Joseph Brasil, 41, allegedly skulked around the Saratoga Street club before breaking into the basement. Police said he propped the 2-foot-tall safe onto a dolly and pushed it back to his house on Lawrence Street without anyone noticing.
