LONDONDERRY — Police cruisers lined Fiddlers Ridge last night while officers searched for a suspect with a knife after a person was flown to a Boston hospital.

Although police would not release any details, a Londonderry firefighter said one person was transported by medical helicopter to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

An officer at the scene refused to speak with a reporter and said an armed suspect was in the area. The incident was reported shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Officers surrounded 4 Fiddlers Ridge and a group of neighbors stood in the street but declined to comment.

The home has been owned by Binh and Suzanne Vernet since 1998.
