Robert Pellegrino of Pellegrino Construction, Salem, N.H., is building a subdivision in Methuen using methods developed by his stepfather, Robert Lefevre, who designed a highly efficient home in Kingston, N.H., using concrete, steel and solar thermal heating. Rather than a furnace, the home is heated using 12-volt magnetic pumps that are run completely by solar power.
